Akshee Shah specialises in Bridal hair and make-up. For her, most brides want to look glamorous, radiant and elegant on their special day so that is exactly the look she sets out to give them. Committed to making every bride look unique by concentrating on her individual features, Akshee’s signature look lies in enhancing the eyes. Akshee believes that "less is always more" therefore keeps the bridal look natural.

From the first point of contact to beyond the bride's wedding day, she is approachable.

Akshee only takes bridal bookings through consultations, because she believes its important for the bride to experience her work before the big day. It allow Akshee to tailor her services to best the bride's needs. Therefore she offers a relaxed consultations that goes through everything from the bride’s face shape and skin tone, to her outfit and theme into consideration. She uses only top-of-the-range, exclusive products from the likes of MAC, Bobbi Brown, Nars, Laura Mercier, Illamasque and Chanel to see which suits the client’s shade and matches her requirements to perfection. The consultation usually takes places at Akshee's home in London.

The Bridal Hair and make-up packages include:

Makeup to suit the clients preferences as well as taking into consideration outfit and jewellery colour schemes
Hair styles using extensions, hair stuffings and beautiful hair accessories.
Dupatta setting/ Saree draping- all pinned well to take-off weight of the outfit on the head. It includes various different styles.

Bridal Henna

Akshee has over 6 years experience in henna creating traditional to contemporary designs. After practising for a long time, she trained at the Ash Kumar training academy to enhance her henna knowledge and skills. She understands how important henna is to a bride and at a trial she discusses and understands your needs to create a bespoke design complimenting outfits and jewellery. She also discusses any allergies to different types to oils, therefore offering henna made for sensitive skin. Henna is applied two days prior to the wedding day as the peak darkness of the henna is 48 hours after application. The Triple filtered henna powder, mixed with water, lemon, pinch of sugar and eucalyptus oil will guarantee a dark colour. The longer you keep it on, the darker it will go. All you need is a combination of lemon and sugar, which is applied when the henna is dry. This helps the henna to adhere to the skin longer, therefore draining the maximum colour to your skin. (Bridal mehndi up to the wrist on both sides of hands and feet up to ankle) +2 family member get 4 sides of heavy strips each

Bridal Diamond package

Guest Hair and Makeup

As well as a bridal service, Akshee also provides a hair, makeup and saree draping services for bridesmaids, friends and families. Akshee aims to create a natural and radiant look to suit the event. She offers to come to your venue to get you ready. For any reason the client would to come to her, she is happy to accommodate for that. Please get in touch for a quote and availability.

Guest Henna

A Henna party is incomplete without your guests having henna applied. Guest henna is offered on per hour basis, where Akshee takes a minimum of 2 hours booking. Akshee is fast at applying strips for guest: 15 strips and hour. Each guest gets 2 strips each, unless specified by the client. This package is available, not only for wedding functions, but for occasions such as birthdays, kids parties, anniversaries, engagements, Diwali, Eid, Karva Chauth and many more. Please note that travel costs are not included in package prices, therefore where required, travel charges and overnight stay charges may be implemented.
